Katie Throne is Athens’ first GREEN-Designated Realtor® with nine years of experience working with buyers and selling residential real estate. She loves getting to know clients and working with them to find the best fit for them in Athens and its surrounding areas. She brings a vast knowledge of Athens and what makes its neighborhoods unique. Katie graduated from UGA in 1998 and has a background in journalism and marketing but returned in 2002 after living in other cities and deciding that she couldn’t shake Athens. “I love everything about Athens – the music scene, great restaurants and the local characters. It has a very unique and wonderful small-town feel but with a lot of culture that you sometimes only find in big cities. We have that here in Athens but with none of the headaches that come with living in a large city. That’s why I am so passionate about protecting this great little place and seeing its neighborhoods flourish.”
